DESCRIPTION:APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Fall Instructor CourseDate and Time: September 24\, 2025\, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ETLocation: 2025 Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Conference and Exhibition\, Providence\, Rhode IslandFee: $720 (includes lunch) \n\n\n\nRegistration Note: Registration will be through the APHON Conference and Exhibit platform.Description:The APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructor Course will provide general instruction in adult education\, guidance in the planning of lectures based on the APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy program content\, and instruction in administering the provider exam. Successful completion allows nurses to return to their institutions as recognized APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructors who are able to provide ongoing instruction and education to other registered nurses. \n\n\n\nEligibility \n\n\n\nThe Instructor Course is open to a nurse who: \n\n\n\n\nis a licensed registered nurse\n\n\n\nis a current APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider\n\n\n\nis an APHON member*\n\n\n\nhas two years of clinical experience\n\n\n\nis a current Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON®) or Certified Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON®)\n\n\n\nhas a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred)\n\n\n\n\n*If you are not currently an APHON member\, please join before you register. \n\n\n\nCourse Registration Fee \n\n\n\nThe course fee includes one day of instructional content provided in person and 6.25 NCPD continuing education hours. The in-person session includes lunch. \n\n\n\nParticipants will Receive \n\n\n\nIndividuals participating in the course will become eligible to register and lead the APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Program course at their institutions. DESCRIPTION:The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents. \n\n\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, post-test and evaluation\, participants will receive an APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card. This card validates that the participant has completed the education and demonstrated the knowledge needed to administer chemotherapy and biotherapy agents to pediatric patients. \n\n\n\nThe Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Participants will be awarded 14 CNE contact hours upon completion of the course\, post-test and evaluation.
