We are looking at ways to improve our practice to decrease our CLABSI rates.  One concern we had was that for patients with continuous infusions, they do not have anything protecting/closing the end of their lines especially when we access for line changes or lab draws.

    1.  How many of you place caps (positive pressure i.e. maxplus or nuetral i.e. neutron) on both your intermittent infusions and continuous infusions?

    2.  If you do, would you be willing to share your CLABSI data and what other interventions you implemented to help decrease your rates?

    Thanks.
