We are looking at evidence based practices related to transporting neutropenic BMT patients. Please consider sharing your practice and answering these questions.

    1. Do you have special precautions for transporting neutropenic/aplastic BMT patients outside of the hepa-filtered unit to other areas or through construction areas within the hospital?

    2. If yes,

          a. What is your criteria for using these precautions eg. an ANC related guideline?

          b. What product do you use to protect patients, eg.  an N-95 mask, surgical mask, PAPR hood?

          c. What evidence source do you use to support this practice?

    3. If no, have you ever considered doing so?

    Thanks for your reply,
    Lynn Stachel
