We don’t have broviacs anymore, and I haven’t had to declot a PICC.  For our ports, we use the same 2mg/mL.  The nurses place 2 mL and we let it dwell for 30 minutes.  If no return, we let it sit another 30 minutes, if possible.  I’m not sure which methods the nurses use to withdraw.

I am interested in your practice for declotting lines , we are using 2mg/2mL concentration.  What is the volume you are using on PICC’s / Broviacs /Ports?  Dwell time? and method of infusion- stopcock method?

Thank you for your help with this request.
