At my institution, we offer an electronic peds hem/onc journal club 6 times per year.  We also try to do a quarterly “Hot Topics” lecture in peds hem/onc, some of which offer contact hours.  Also, we have monthly tumor boards which offer CMEs that nursing is encouraged to attend.  Lastly, often have a grand round or two that are focused in peds hem/onc on an annual basis and may also have an annual conference (usually on survivorship) that all staff can attend, which also offers contact hours. We also promote the APHON webinars, especially for APHON members since it is free for members.

For those with CPHON certification, if you are not able to have a lot of staff attend APHON’s annual conference, how else to you recommend they get their CEU’s to maintain their certification?

    Ideas appreciated!

    Thanks!
