Reply To: Ketamine Drips for Pain Control for patients with GI GVHD
This has also happened to some of our patients and they were sent to the PICU for the ketamine drip. We have only done ketamine on the floor for end of life.

Hello, We have a patient with Grade 3 GI GVHD who has been having severe abdominal pain and cramping despite several pain interventions. We decided to use a Ketamine drip and faced the challenge should he be in the ICU or on the HSCT Unit. Do any other programs use Ketamine drips for pain management and if so do you keep them on the HSCT unit? Thank you, Caroline
