What are they allowed to bring from home?

    • Their own clothes

    • Electronics

    • Their own toys (wipe with bleach wipes on admission) or stuffed animals (dryed at 165F).

Must all toys/books be brand new?

    • No. (Legos are easier new)

Are they allowed to bring their own bedding/pillows/stuffed animals and do they need to prep them in any way?

    • They may bring 1-2 favorite blankets (clean)

    • Their won recently laundered pillows and linens.  Linens must be changed daily.

    • We have laundry facilities families can use if the patient is not in isolation. Clothes must be laundered at home/Brent’s Place if patient is in isolation.

    • No special prep just regular laundry

Are your CAR-T patients under the same restrictions?

    • No

Please let me know if you have questions.

    Hello,

    Here are my answers.

    1. What are they allowed to bring from home?
      • Their own clothes.
      • Electronics
      • Their own toys/books.  Just wipe down everything with the hospital disinfecting wipes before bringing in the room.
      • Special blanket, just washed and washed 1 – 2 times a week while inpatient
      • Strollers, floor pads.  Wipe everything with disinfecting wipes.
    2. Must all toys/books be brand new?
      • No
    3. Are they allowed to bring their own bedding/pillows/stuffed animals and do they need to prep them in any way?
      • 1 – 2 washed (regular laundry) stuffed animals.  During their stay they seem to acquire more, but we don’t make them take them home at that point.
      • No pillows
      • Their own linen but it needs to be changed daily.  We do have laundry facilities here on the same floor which makes it a little easier.
      • No real prep just wash in regular laundry.
    4. Are your CAR-T patients under the same restrictions?
      • No

I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
