    Good morning,

Yes, we do have a specific diet for BMT patients regardless of auto/allo.  We follow general FDA food safety guidelines for transplant patients (attached) along with only purified water/ice.  We also only allow 30 minutes to eat once food is prepared.

Let me know if you have any other questions! 🙂

    Subject: BMT diet?

    Hi Ange,

We do have a diet that our patients follow during HSCT for both auto’s and allo’s.  I have sent an email with the teaching sheet which outlines the diet.

Please let me know if you have other questions.

    Caroline

    Hello,

Do your centers have specific BMT diet guidelines for transplant patients? If so, are these only for allos, or auto transplants too?

    Thank you for your help,

    Ange
