Yes, we do a sterile blood cultures and we do a sterile cap change prior to the culture being drawn. We only do central line cultures, no peripheral sticks.

1. Do you use sterile procedure for blood cultures? 2. Do you perform central line draw and peripheral stick with blood cultures (first spike and/or subsequent draws) before start of antibiotics? 3. Do you perform central line cap change with each blood culture?
