We use the N-95 mask for patients and use a blanket for infants, similar to your practice. It’s something that our Infectious Disease, Epidemiology, and BMT teams reevaluate regularly but they have yet to identify a suitable alternative.

    HI all,
We are exploring options for our stem cell transplant patients masks.  We are currently using the N-95 or the Hepa filter mask depending on the patients age and size.  For our infants, we just have the parents put a blanket over their face.

What are other people using?  WE have had a number of inquires about the dusk mask that are on the intranet but have been very hesitant to endorse them.

    Thanks for your input.
    Lisa
