Sibing Connection, a program within the Viacord stem cell banking program offers a unique option for cord banking, especially for those with a child currently/history of a life-threatening disease.  Highly recommend that you pass on to your family to investigate:  https://www.viacord.com/cord-banking/sibling-connection/

    Hi All,

I have a family who is interested in privately banking their cord blood and tissue for their current pregnancy as they have a history of cancer in their family.  One of their 4 children is already in therapy for leukemia and the uncle has relapsed with childhood/AYA leukemia and had a BMT in his early 20s for his 3rd relapse.

The family is looking for grants or scholarships.  Does anyone know of any grant or scholarship programs for private cord blood banking?  Thanks so much!

    Erin
