We had the same thing happen! We thought it was lot specific, but found other lot #s that had the same issue. We have reported to the manufacturer and following up accordingly. We are telling staff to check the integrity of the statlock before applying to the patient.

Over the weekend we’ve had 3 PICC Plus STATLock failures: all three were related to the clear plastic PICC line stabilizing piece coming apart from the adhesive dressing with minimal handling prior to placement on a patient. One fell out of the package in 2 separate pieces. The devices that failed came from 2 different lots.
We are currently taking appropriate measures internally; but am curious if anyone else has experienced the same recently. If so, would greatly appreciate any information re: your experience.
