We only infuse by gravity – strictly no pumps for stem cell products. We also limit total volume of infusion to 20-25mL/kg.

Does your institution infuse HPSC products with a pump? I can find very little research to support this practice, but there has to be a better way than counting drops with gravity. 😳
We recently infused fresh product received from an international location. Flight times were limited r/t COVID and product had to be filtered twice before infusion.  Large volume – 514cc for a 9kg child made for a challenging infusion while balancing drip rate titration in the midst of diuretics/antihypertensives/CSA etc…  A pump would have allowed for a more accurate infusion time, especially given small size of child while balancing need to infuse cells in timely manner.

If you use a pump, what brand and what tubing?

Curious to see how many institutions have transitioned to a pump vs gravity?
