I can only speak to my prior organization’s structure.. We had daily labs CBC with diff, CMP, mag, phos Weekly liver enz DEPENDING on the type of donor & immunosuppression- those labs were sometimes not easily grouped. Once the ANC started to uptrend, we sometimes moved to every other day Once engrafted, every 2/3 days except CBC

I wanted to see what the standard of practice at your institution re: frequency of lab monitoring for BMT patients. We current do many labs daily (CBC, chem panel) shortly after admission and throughout most of the transplant course. We are looking at our practice to see if we can decrease the frequency for many of our patients, and I wanted to get a sense of what is done elsewhere.
Do you have a standard frequency for BMT labs (CBC, CMP, BMP)? If so, will you please provide details.
Is this the same for all patients? (allo vs auto, malignant vs non-malignant, donor type, prep, use of CNIs, etc.)
Thanks in advance! Stacy
