At CHOC we do  sometimes infuse through a port. Usually for our solid patients for their auto-transplants.

Have any of you all involved in bone marrow transplant use a port for stem cell infusion or for donor lymphocyte infusion?

Hi Rita, can you provide more information of the structure of the new APHON BMT Foundations course?  We offer the APHON BMT Foundations course over 2 days currently, with providers/subject matter experts presenting the different lectures.  The new course is listed as modules, with an option of presentations.  Is there any way to see the subjects covered in each module prior to purchase?

    Thank you!
    Sheila

Thank you for your response about using the ONS Course for training at your center.
Do you provide supplemental content specific to pediatrics and you center operations?  I took that course years ago and it had very little pediatric content at the time. I would be interested in hearing about how you address this gap.  It seems like using the on-line course would be beneficial to provide the basic concepts and nursing care of TCT. and then more on-site/in-house training re: peds and center-specific concerns.
    Thank you,
    Nancy
