At Children’s National, we run a 12 month curriculum based upon the ELNEC-PPC course. The first 2 days are more the traditional ELENC-PPPC, followed by quarterly education sessions, and ending with another 1 day intensive. The program is open to all staff, interdisciplinary and all units. One of the largest groups of participants is our Heme/Onc and BMT unit. Those who compete the program become palliative care resources on their units. We also invite our community hospitals and hospices to participate. We have had very successful outcomes and sustained interest over 4 years with this approach. Happy to talk with you more if you would like more details. email@example.com.

Please answer if you offer pediatric ELNEC Training at your hospital
Is the ELNEC training offered housewide to staff? i.e. Hem/Onc/SCT, NICU, PICU, CICU?
Do all nurses in your peds Hem/Onc/SCT unit attend?
What about the ICUs?
Who are the trainers? (train the trainer)?
i.e. do you have Palliative Care APNs, RNs, Chaplains and educators/bedside nurses
How often do you run your program?
How long is your class for bedside RNs?
How did you receive funding for the train the trainer costs and then end user training?
Any other info? Logistics?
What is the feedback about the program in general?
