20ml?! Yikes! So, I had a patient come in the other day. He was older but trach dependent and developmentally delayed. Mom would crush his pills and put in a small pocket of a piece of white bread and he would eat it no problem. My plans were to do the same with the promacta. I hope this helps!

    Hello!

Wondering if anyone had any tips for administering Promacta to a 1.5 year old patient?  Currently using the Promacta packets for oral suspension, however are struggling with the volume of 20ml.  Wondering if packet can be mixed with a smaller volume or sprinkled into food?  I am aware we need to avoid calcium but wondering if packet could be sprinkled onto something low in calcium to ease with administration.  Open to any tips anyone has.  Also happy to discuss via phone or email if needed!

    Thank you!
