At Children’s National we keep any kids (ALL or AML or lymphoma) receiving high dose cytarabine in the hosptial through nadir and recovery of ANC > 200 because of the risk of sepsis with that drug.

Question from one of the ARNPs in our practice: how is your institution managing relapsed ALL patients receiving “AML” therapy?   There has been varying practice with our providers on whether they are kept for count recovery. We have had patients with only bone marrow relapse and some with bone marrow and testicular relapse. Thank you!
