    As far as research goes, we have an in-house Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship that is a year long program designed to give staff EBP skills and create EBP champions in our institution.  We have a Clinical Advancement Program for direct care staff.  We have a “Resource Nurse” role in each of the clinical areas and we have a group of nurses specific to “Line” care.

    Asking for a colleague working on a work leadership project:

    Does your hospital have any career path programs that allow a bedside nurse become a clinical expert at the bedside like for CVl’s, asthma or whatever and also those who want to conduct research. This type of employee would not necessarily go back to school, get a pay raise or promotion but could use this towards a clnical ladder or pathway. Thank you for anything you can offe!
