There is also a Mentor Program for nurse through national APHON.  There is information under the Membership tab on the APHON Website.

We do have a formalized mentoring program for all who are members of our Patient Care Services Department–this includes nursing, child life, respiratory care, rehabilitation, social work, volunteer services, etc.  It is a year long program that meets monthly.  The protegee needs to have a specific goal in mind so that the appropriate match can be made.  People apply for both protegee and mentor positions.

Do any of your programs have a formalized mentoring program for nursing staff? Would you mind sharing any details?

    Thanks
