Reply To: Alaris pumps and continuous chemo infusions
The nurses set it for the total volume at the beginning and clear the pumps and record volumes every 2 hours to ensure accurate infusion amounts. ——————————————- Regina Wilkes CNL-St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis, TN United States ——————————————-

This message has been cross posted to the following Discussions: Inpatient Staff Hospital Issues and Pediatric Chemotherapy Biotherapy Instructors . ——————————————- Good morning,
For those of you who use Alaris pumps, do you enter 2hr limits for continuous chemo infusions or the total dose (total drug volume)? For example if a 24hr MTX is infusing at 10mL/hr, do you enter 20mL as VTBI and reset every 2hours or do you enter 240mL?
