The very first one is changed at week 1.  For teaching purposes, we then would allow 1-2 per week for the parents.

    Subject: Tracheostomy change

    Hi all,

Would anyone mind sharing how often new tracheostomies are changed after the initial placement and chnage by the ENT?  For family teaching purposes, how early will you perform this change? Any and all recommendations appreciated.

    Thank you for your assistance!
