Cotton balls and make a note for lab that it was collected this way

Some institutions use sani-pads cut up but I assume the same issue would arise.

Our lab has recently told us we cannot collect urine samples for diapered patients with cotton balls due to inaccurate lab results. We do have PediBags but want to avoid the excessive skin damage from the adhesive and the ‘urine chemo’ sitting on the patient in the collection bag. We are considering foleys for diapered patients but would like to avoid due to risk of infection What do other institutions do to collect urine during HD MTX?
