We use professional towels. One side is shiny and they are single use, disposed of after flushing

    Hello all,

Sure this has been touched on before, but I’m examining how our hospital deals with urine after collected for urine dips/tests/measurement while they are cytotoxic. Currently, we placed plastic underpads over the toilet and flush to prevent aerosolization.

However, I’m now examining the potential cost benefit to using quilted underpads that are available at our hospital.

What are other children’s hospitals doing with this practice?

    Thanks for your responses!
