We are having challenges in workflow related to high touch surface cleaning.
The wipes themselves cannot be stored within our rooms due to alcohol content limits, so some staff note that, especially in isolation rooms, they are not encouraged by room/unit design to get the wipes to take into the rooms. The containers of wipes are often mounted outside the rooms, but away from the hand sanitizers and doors.
How does your hospital navigate issues of high touch surface cleaning and alcohol content storage?
For reference, we use PDI sani-cloth germicidal wipes.
Thanks for the insight!
