I am interested in answers to this as well. We’re having similar issues with some of our older sickle cell patients and have been having this daily schedule discussion with our Unit Based Counsel team.

Thanks for any input you have!

Subject: Creating inpatient schedules for sickle cell

Has anyone had success creating a daily schedule for their inpatient sickle cell patients? We have had a few older patients recently that are struggling to cope with their chronic pain and are refusing to ambulate, maintain PO intake, etc. We would like to create a daily schedule that defines the patient’s role in improving his/her crisis, so we are curious if anyone has a template.

    Thanks!
