RNs do not perform Omaya taps in our institution.  They may however assist the provider with the procedure.

    Thanks,

We do not allow RNs to do this either.

Only our APPs do this (we changed this practice a few years ago)

    Hello everyone,
We are re-visiting practice on Ommaya Reservoirs.  Currently we depend on our providers to tap these, but wondering if other institutions allow your nurses to do this?
    Thank you in advance.
