We have toilet seat lids  on all the toilets in the patient rooms on our floor. We used to use chux before we got toilet seat lids. When we float, no one does anything to cover the toilet. On those floors, there are no bathrooms for the parents to use except for in the patient rooms.

    Subject: Toilet Flushing

Hello, I am looking for any information on what other people are doing when flushing toilets for patients receiving chemo.

Does anyone have experience with the Splashblocker product? This is a plastic shield that is held over the toilet when flushing.

Is anyone using a Chuck pad to cover the toilet? How is this working / have many of the pads been flushed down the toilet?

    I appreciate any feedback!
