For us, it depends on the nature of the injury, if any, and any follow up/monitoring is discussed during the post-fall huddle.

    ·         A post fall huddle will occur after each patient fall.

o    Prior to the post fall huddle, the patient must be assessed and treated for injuries.

o    The post fall huddle must be organized by an RN as soon as possible after a patient fall event.

    Hello,
Curious what other institutions practices are regarding post-fall assessment standards. Do you have a standard frequency at which vitals, neuro checks, etc. are completed or is it based on physician assessment?
    Thank you!
