    In general, the Hem/Onc inpatient charge nurses have been trained in broviac or hickman repair.  If a break occurs in a different department, the charge RN from that area calls the Hem/Onc charge RN to come and repair the line.  There is also a team of PICC RNs (that place PICC lines) that have been trained in hickman or broviac repair.
