We use clear dressings so the site can be assessed without changing the dressing.  We do not change. Kate

Wanting to benchmark a request from our faculty. . . .

Is it anyone’s practice to change the dressing of the CVC when blood cultures first come back positive, to assess the insertion site?

    Thank you,
    Maritza
