We draw two sets (via CVAD) of BCx at the start of the febrile episode – both sets from the central line, 15 minutes apart. Then we draw cultures daily (each morning) until afebrile.

When children are febrile and have a central line, are you drawing both peripheral and central blood cultures? and how often?  Thanks so much!
