We have determined how much volume we need to clear the tubing, and that is the volume that we use.

    Hi all,

We are evaluating the volume of flush we currently use for all chemotherapy.  We do not currently use a closed-system delivery device, but utilize a buretrol and primary IV tubing.

We are wondering how much volume other institutions use?  Do you do just enough to clear your tubing?  Do you do a set volume above the priming volume of your tubing?

     Thank you!
