    Hello everyone!

I would love help regarding what other institutions’ policies or guidelines are with parents/caregivers providing central line care in the hospital.

    Specifically:

    1. Do you allow parents/caregivers who have been trained in CVL care to perform central line care (dressing change/cap change/flushing) when their child is in the hospital?

    2. Does the patient have to maintain a certain ANC level or other requirement to allow the parent/caregiver to perform CVL care?

    Thank you for your help!

    Caroline
