Joanie Shea and I are co-leading a national APHON project through the Steering Committee to develop an intro course for medical assistants, patient care aids, nursing assistants similar to the Foundations of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nursing course to help address this identified educational need.

The project is in its infancy and won’t be out for at least another year, but input is always helpful!

    Hi, all,

We want to modify our classroom orientation for our nursing assistants.  Can anybody share what they provide in an orientation for their nursing assistants?  If you don’t have a classroom orientation, and send them straight to the unit, please let me know as well.

    Thank you,
