    Hi there,

The line comes pre-primed with saline, we hyperprime at 999ml/hr for 10 ml then start the infusion and flush with 20 ml at the end of the infusion. We would add 10 ml to our total volume to calculate the rate.

Example- Chemo volume 60ml ( hyperprime 10ml, bag volume now 50ml, but flush with 20ml to clear the tubing, so rate would be 70ml/hr )

    Thank you

We also do not include the flush into the rate. We flush with 16ml NS afterwards. Our pharmacy primes our lines to the end.
