    We’ve also used minibags for several years. We run by pump with a central line and free-flow by gravity through a PIV. Happy to share any other resources you may need.

    We have used the minibags for many years using the free flow method.  It takes approximately 5-7 minutes depending if you are using a central line or a PIV.  We add a stopcock to check for blood return before, during & after, but all you really have to do is lower the bag and you will see free flow blood back up in the tubing.
