    I posed this question to one of my attending physicians and here was her response: 

    If the CARs are persisting and the patient has B cell aplasia, then vaccines will not be efficacious. Once you have documented good immune reconstitution in terms of B cell numbers and the patient is no longer IVIG-dependent, then we can re-immunize.
