    Hi-

Your pharmacy will have to purchase the USP800 chapter and then NSG along with pharmacy and EVS need to do a gap analysis.  I would start ASAP as there is a lot to consider for compliance by Dec. 2019.  We have our quality department overseeing this for us.

I didn’t get the opportunity to attend this years APHON conference but I am wondering if someone can enlighten me on the USP 800 and what it is all about/concerns with education, implementation, etc.

Also -joint commission requiring all nurses who administer chemo have access to COG – is that really becoming a thing?

I am trying to educate myself on what our institution should be doing in regards to these topics so any information would be helpful. Thanks!
