We use a staffing metric in our ambulatory (combined with our infusion clinic).

We staff 2.4 worked nursing hours per patient visit.

This metric includes clinic nurses, infusion nurses, phone triage nurses, and charge nurses.

We have not been able to benchmark our metric against other locations and would be very interested in partnering to develop benchmarks

    Hope this helps.

    Good Afternoon,
I am just wondering if any outpatient Hematology/Oncology have staffing guidelines/acuity tools they use to make daily decisions around staffing?
We are mixed clinic-in my experience there have not been formal tools out there to help guide this
    Any information would be appreciated

    Thanks-Tammy
