Can I ask – do you count the visit with the provider and the infusion visit as two visits, or one visit?  Another way of asking would be, can a patient have multiple visits on one day?

    Thanks

We use a staffing metric in our ambulatory (combined with our infusion clinic).

We staff 2.4 worked nursing hours per patient visit.

This metric includes clinic nurses, infusion nurses, phone triage nurses, and charge nurses.

We have not been able to benchmark our metric against other locations and would be very interested in partnering to develop benchmarks

    Hope this helps.
