    We use our regular dressing procedure for short accesses. The only time we would not dress site would be a routine monthly flush with no need to keep accessed for any reason. i.e in and out very quickly.

    What do you use in an out pt setting for short term port a cath securement (an hour or so: ie vinc and dox, labs only, etc). Do you cover with complete occlusive dressing or do you use papertape or other securment to help protect skin for these short term accesses.
