We book by chair time.  We do procedures in our infusion area, so when we have patients “pending recovery” – we do book and reschedule, (which is a hassle) but then we know we have the room and the anesthesia time available.  We book our infusion time to begin right after the provider appointment.

For those that work in an infusion center, can you tell me how you pre-schedule your patients for infusion?

With the variability of patients being on call for chemo, blood transfusions added on…how are you patients schedule?  By chair, by time, do you attach with the provider appointment?

    thank you for any help.
