We use both in our outpatient treatment center and have not had any issues.  They do have covers you can purchase to “lock” the connection.

    Subject: Phaseal connections

Are any hospitals using the phaseal product with the alaris pump tubing to deliver chemotherapy infusions? If so, have any institutions experienced disconnects between the phaseal and alaris pump tubing during administration and what are you doing to prevent this from happening?

    Thank you for your feedback,

    Beth Speckhart
