We are the same as St. Joseph’s…the attempt to see the patient in our clinic/day hospital is made if during the daytime hours (Saturdays and Sundays too) if the volume/acuity is not already too high.

    Hi Everyone,

Currently at our institution all sickle cell fever patients are referred to the ER for treatment. I was wondering if you could tell me if you treat your sickle cell fever patients in your outpatient clinic or if they are referred to the ER?

    Thanks
    Joanie
