Hi Christine- We only wait for bili before giving vincristine on day 1 of a new maintenance cycle. Otherwise we check it but don’t wait for result before giving the chemo due to the delays you mentioned.

Hi all, We are transitioning our maintenance leukemia patients to be seen directly in our infusion suite. A question came up about bilirubin. Do you routinely wait for results before vincristine, or only on day 1 of a cycle. We are trying to come up with a standard process, factoring in lab delays which can be up to 2-3 hours for a bili level. Thanks!
