APHON Member Connection is the platform you can turn to when you have questions. All members are added to the Members Group but there are more discussion forums that you can join including a group for each APHON chapter and a private group for committees – see the ‘Find a Group’ list below.
Find a Group
- Local Chapters – For dues-paying chapter members. Please search for your chapter by name and request to join.
- APHON Committees – Please write to info@aphon.org if you have difficulty accessing your committee.
- New group requests – Requests can be directed to info@aphon.org. A new group must demonstrate need and receive APHON approval.
Helpful Tips for Member Connections
- Joining a group is easy, select the “Member-Only” Button to join. Some groups such as Committee groups may be hidden. If you’re a part of a committee, your APHON Staff Liaison may add you to the respective committee groups. Depending on the group, you may enter immediately, for others your request will be reviewed.
- You can view all 71 Groups and search by Name, Recently Active and even search Alphabetically.
- Post new discussions at any time. When you create a new discussion, check the box that says “Notify me of new replies” to follow the conversation.
- When searching for a topic, switch from “Discussions” to “Feed” and use the “Search Feed” function.
- Ensure your notifications are enabled. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner, select “Notifications” and then select “Notification Settings”. Make sure all boxes are checked and turned blue.
- We advise never to unsubscribe from an email notification, as it will unsubscribe you from ALL member connection emails. If you no longer wish to receive notifications from a specific group, unsubscribe from the group page by clicking on the bell icon on the right hand side of the group page or by toggling off the member box.
- Coming Soon – We currently don’t have a daily digest (one email with a summary of all your notifications) for Member Connections. This highly requested feature is in the works.
