This year’s conference theme, Coming Together: Different Experiences, One Commitment, underscores the diversity of APHON members’ backgrounds, roles, and settings, as well as the historic addition of a Children’s Oncology Group (COG) preconference session and educational track.

Check Out Our Keynote Highlights:

APHON’s own Pamela S. Hinds, PhD RN, a mentor and pioneer in our field who has advanced the art and the science of our craft through her research efforts, will give the opening keynote address. If this is your first opportunity to hear Pam…you are in for a treat.

Dan Shapiro, PhD, a professor and chair of the humanities department at Penn State College of Medicine and a childhood cancer survivor, will delight with his closing keynote address, “A Funny Thing Happened on My Way to Chemotherapy.”

General and concurrent sessions, town hall meetings, poster and paper presentations, and a variety of excellent exhibits will also be available to expand your personal and professional knowledge. While you are in the exhibit hall, be sure to check out the products in the APHON bookstore.

Preconference Sessions Offer Added Benefit:

Arrive early to take advantage of the excellent preconference offerings, such as the Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Instructor Course and the Leadership Series. Other preconference sessions include:

  • Enhancing practice through evidence-based care
