International Nurse Scholarship

International Nurse Scholarship Program

APHON offers two scholarships that provide an opportunity for a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse from a low-/middle-income country to experience the APHON annual conference and exhibit. The 48th Annual Conference will be held September 11-13, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah.  There will be two available scholarships in 2024: virtual and in-person. The virtual scholar will receive registration and access to all live-stream and on-demand education. The in-person scholar will receive registration and allowance for transportation and accommodations up to a maximum value of US$5,000.

The purpose of the APHON International Nurse Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse from a low-/middle-income country to attend the APHON annual conference to gain insights into professional practices and expand their network of likeminded nurse practioners.

The virtual scholarship covers the full registration fee for online conference attendance. This can be accessed via a computer or a downloaded app for a phone or a tablet.

The in-person scholarship covers conference registration and the transportation/airfare, hotel, and meals up to a maximum total value of US$5,000. The recipient will be responsible for any expenses beyond US$5,000 and should have means to pay out-of-pocket for items while waiting for any expense reimbursements. Note: once at conference, there are opportunities for complimentary tickets meal events offer by industry partner.
