Candidate Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume

Your CV or resume should highlight any experiences that align with the qualifications for office. Below is a suggested list of relevant experiences to include:

  • Previous or current involvement in your workplace and/or other professional organizations.For example, a role in a shared governance committee at your institution or role with a civic organization or your academic institution. Roles may include committee member or chair, project leader, local chapter board member, etc.

  • Any participation in activities, such as volunteer experiences or activities, external to your professional role that demonstrate leadership or specific skills related to the office for which you are under consideration.

  • Any previous and current local or National APHON activities, if applicable.For example, a leadership role in an APHON chapter or committee. Roles may include committee member or chair, project leader, local chapter board member, etc. 

Please include any other relevant experiences that you want to highlight at the bottom of your CV or resume.

Please provide a typed personal statement not to exceed 250 words. This statement should describe why you wish to run for a position on the APHON Board of Directors and should include a summary of your qualifications (e.g., leadership qualities) and goals for effective execution of this office. Your statement will be printed in the official APHON ballot and in other official APHON publications exactly as we receive it from you. References

Reference letters are required as part of the application process. The following two references should email their reference letters to the APHON Staff liaison, Hazel Iglesias by March 31, 2025 at hazel.iglesias@aphon.org.

Reference qualifications:

  • A member of APHON who has volunteered in APHON locally or nationally and can speak to how you can support APHON’s mission and strategic plan as a future APHON Board Member.
  • Any professional colleague who can directly speak to your leadership qualifications. Examples of colleagues could include a leader, educator, mentor, etc. from in or outside your organization.

Current members of the APHON Leadership Development Committee may not serve as a reference. It is your responsibility to instruct these individuals to submit their letter of reference.
